Is it Halal to eat Eels?

Is it Halal to eat eels?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

In principle, all marine creatures are not permissible to eat except fish.[1]

An eel is a ray-finned fish belonging to the order Anguilliformes.[2] Accordingly, eels are fish. Therefore, it is permissible to eat eels.
