Unzipping leather socks - does this break Masaḥ?

Asalamualikum. If I started wiping over my leather socks and I unzip my leather socks all the way down without removing my foot so that I can itch the lower part of my ankle. Will my masah break?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

In principle, if one has a large opening in his leather socks his masa (wiping) will be nullified. A large opening is described as the amount of one’s three small toes.[i] Accordingly, when one completely unzips his leather socks, his masa will be nullified and he will be required to wash his feet.  However, if he unzips it less than the amount of a large opening, his masa will be intact.
