Title

Is it permissible for a woman to dye the eyebrows with henna?

Question

is it permissible for a woman to dye the eyebrows with henna or other temporary dyes to make them appear more full or darker?

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful 
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh

It is permissible for a woman to dye the eyebrows any color besides black on condition that the ingredients used in the dye are Halāl.[1]

And Allah Ta’ala Knows Best.

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَلَبِيُّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، رَفَعَهُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «قَوْمٌ يَخْضِبُونَ بِهَذَا السَّوَادِ آخِرَ الزَّمَانِ كَحَوَاصِلِ الْحَمَامِ، لَا يَرِيحُونَ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ
