Can jinns live as human in human world or not?

Can you give any fatwa for jinns whether they can live as human in human world or not?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Brother in Islam,

Rasulullah (Sallalahi Alayhi Wasallam) advised,

من حسن اسلامالمرء تركه ما لا يعنيه

Translation:It is from the excellence of a believer’s Islam that he should leave that which is of no concern to him. (Al-Tirmidhi)[i]

Are jins living as human or not, does not concern us and our Iman. There is no point in knowing such issues. We should focus on issues that concern our Iman and strengthen our faith. Nevertheless, Allamah Shibli (AH761) states,

ولا شك ان الجن يتطورون ويتشكلون في صور الانسان...

Translation:Undoubtably, Jins have the ability to evolve and take the form of humans…[ii]

This has further been endorsed by Imam Suyuti(AH911) and many such scholars.[iii]Jins can live in the world taking the form of a human.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
