Secret nikah

Asalamwalaikum, we want to have nikah because we want our relationship to be halal, he wants to have nikah with me but the problem is his parents found him a wife and they will get nikah after 2years from now, i am worried that if we will have nikah, is it going to be a problem if he will get married again after 2years without his parents knowing that he got married already? We both know that our Nikah will be valid, but i am worried that in the future our nikah will be void because it has no agreement of his parents. Is it still possible for us to continue being husband and wife even after he will get nikah again with his parents choice? Please help.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Sister in Islam,

Nikah is an important step in ones life. In marriage, if you make the right choice, you will be happy and if you make the wrong choice, you will be unhappy.

In marriage, you should consider a long term relationship. You state the boy will get married again after two years. What will happen to you after that? Will he be able to keep two women in his marriage? What if you conceive in these two years? What if the boy cannot bear the pressure from his parents and divorces you? There are so many probabilities in this relationship. It is irresponsible of you to consider marrying this person as you may face many challenges and difficulties in the future.

You should discuss the issue with your parents or seniors and seek their council. Do not commit yourself to a relationship based on hopes and wishes, be practical and reliable.

May Allah Ta’ala make it easy and guide you.
