Does having a smell on my underwear break my Wudhu?

Assalaamu Alaikum wr wb.

Sometimes detect smell on underwear from anus. Sometimes its slightly stronger and at times its a very light smell. Underwear does not appear to be soiled or stained. I wash thoroughly in the shower with soap etc, but after maybe a while a light smell comes back. If I passed stool then after istinja the smell is stronger but no stains. But after taking a shower and clean thoroughly the smell will seem to go, but return maybe after a while, e.g. after sitting down then standing up, then if i was to smell the underwear it will be noticeable but sometimes would be a light smell, and sometimes a stronger smell. How does this affect my Wudhu? My Salaah? Are they still valid if I was to pray without re-washing the anus everytime and making wudhu again, if there is no physical impurity, just a smell on the underwear. Also if i was to detect a smell by placing hand in anus area, a smell can be detected too. Generally a smell on underwear would be detected even if have not recently passed stool, but not as a strong a smell. Do i have to make wudhu everytime I do any Ibaadah that requires wudhu? Also, I try to check after performing SALAAH if there is any smell on underwear , and mostly there is - slightly

JazakAllah Khayran

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Wudhu will not break by merely detecting an odour on the underwear. If one senses anything exiting the private parts, then Wudhu will break.[1]
