Title: Masturbation without intention

Question

Salam, I have a really large concern, I was in a situation where the male genital became erected. By no means did I intentionally commit the act of masturbation however I moved my part to rearrange it which cause it to ejaculate. This was by no means intentional, as I am deeply concerned as to whether or not I would be sinful as I have sworn not to commit this act. Please clarify this for me, I would greatly appreacite it Jazak’Allah hu Khair

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Masturbating is a major sin and prohibited in Shariah. [i]

You state you did not intend to masturbate; therefore, you will not be sinful Insha-Allah.

(قوله الاستمناء حرام) أي بالكف إذا كان لاستجلاب الشهوة، أما إذا غلبته الشهوة وليس له زوجة ولا أمة ففعل ذلك لتسكينها فالرجاء أنه لا وبال عليه كما قاله أبو الليث

( وَأَمَّا الِاسْتِمْنَاءُ بِالْيَدِ ) أَيْ بِمُعَالَجَةِ يَدِ نَفْسِهِ ( فَحَرَامٌ ) لِأَنَّهُ اسْتِمْتَاعٌ بِالْجُزْءِ ( إلَّا عِنْدَ شُرُوطٍ ثَلَاثَةٍ أَنْ يَكُونَ عَزَبًا ) مُجَرَّدًا لَيْسَ لَهُ زَوْجَةٌ أَوْ جَارِيَةٌ ( وَبِهِ شَبَقٌ ) أَيْ شِدَّةُ غُلْمَةٍ ( وَفَرْطُ شَهْوَةٍ ) لَهُ عَطْفُ تَفْسِيرٍ ( وَأَنْ يُرِيدَ بِهِ تَسْكِينَ الشَّهْوَةِ لَا قَضَاءَهَا ) نُقِلَ عَنْ الظَّهِيرِيَّةِ عَزَبٌ لَهُ فَرْطُ شَهْوَةٍ لَهُ أَنْ يُعَالِجَ بِذَكَرِهِ لِتَسْكِينِ شَهْوَتِهِ وَسُئِلَ أَبُو حَنِيفَةَ هَلْ يُؤْجَرُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ مَنْ نَجَا بِرَأْسِهِ فَقَدْ رَبِحَ وَقِيلَ كَذَا فِي مَجْمَعِ الْفَتَاوَى

الاسْتِفْسَارُ: هل يجوزُ الاستمناءُ باليد، أو بعلاجِ الذَّكَرِ بالفخذ ، وغيرِهِ من الصُّور؟

الاسْتِبْشَارُ: الاستمناءُ باليدِ أمرٌ شنيعٌ حرام، مفسدٌ للصَّوم، لا يَحِلُّ لأحدٍ أن يفعلَ إن أرادَ الاستلذاذ، نعم ؛ إن غَلَبَتِ الشَّهوة ، وأرادَ تسكينَها، فالمرجوُّ أن لا يُعاقب         

في ((فتحِ القدير)): ولا يحلُّ الاستمناءُ بالكفّ
