Burying Pets

My pet cat has passed away. Am I allowed to bury it?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Yes, you may bury your pet cat.[1]
