Title: Do i have to wash under my toe nails during ghusl?

Question

Do we have to wash under nails of legs during ghusl

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.

As-salaamu `alaykum wa-ramatullahi wa-barakatuh.

In principle, one has to wash both his feet up to his ankles thoroughly that not even a single spot remains dry whilst making wudhu.[1]

However, if due to some reason ones nails are long and dirt has accumulated under them, then he has to remove the dirt and wash under his nails. But if the nails are short then washing the feet thoroughly will be sufficient.[2]

And Allah Ta`ala Knows Best.
