Drunkard husband and domestic violence

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatahu.

My question is regarding my sister, married at the age of 15 , now her age is 24. She has 2 children 8 year old daughter and 4 year old son. Her husband has been a drunkard since the marriage time , he does domestic voilence everyday , even attempted for murder twice. In the 3rd attempt to kill her she managed to escape from the home and reached my home. We have applied for a Khula now, I would like to know will she get any compensation for her and her children as per Shariah law.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

We are sad to hear the plight of your sister. We pray that Allah grant her courage to overcome this challenge. We observe that you are from Australia. Please let us know where in Australia your sister resides and where she applied for khul’. You may send this information to admin@daruliftaa.net, with reference Faizal.
