Zakat and Asr Hanafi time

I am from India

I have 2 question

1. I have made investment for my daughters marriage and education and I am not going to use that money except for the purpose kept , kindly advise me is zakat due on such savings.

2. I get 1 hour break for my lunch session at 4 o clock IST according to hanafi, zuhar time is valid till 5.00 pm I offer zuhar at that time ,at the same time after 30 mins there is shafi azaan for asr ,can I offer my asr prayer I am asking this question since I follow Hanafi maslak will it be valid to offer asr prayer on shafi azaan

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

1)    If the money you invested for your daughter’s marriage and education belong to you and you have not given that money to your daughter, then that amount will be zakatable according to your personal financial situation.[1]
If you gift that money to your daughter and you have relinquished your rights of ownership, then that money will not belong to you. In that case, if your daughter is a minor, then she will be exempt from zakat. If she is an adult or when she becomes an adult, then zakat will be compulsory on that amount according to her financial situation.[2] [3]

2)    A Muqallid should strictly adhere to the ruling of his Madhab.

Since you follow the Hanafi madhab, you should offer the Asr salah in the Hanafi time even though you may miss out on the Jama’ah (congregation of the Shaaf’i salah). [4]

However, there is a leeway if one is in dire need to perform Asr salah according to the Shaaf’i Asr time, for example, he is a musafir or he is in a Shaaf’i congregation, then his Asr salah at that time will be valid.[5]
