Title: Time elapses whilst performing Salaah

If someone is reading Zuhar Fard salaah, while his in his third rak'aat, zohar time ends and Asr time starts, is this zuhar salaah valid or will have to repeat it?

Also wanted to know if someone is reading the 2 rak'aat sunnah after zuhar fard salaah and the time ends while his in his second rak'aat, is this 2 rak'aat sunnah valid or will have to repeat it?

Whatever the ruling is for the above mas'alah, will the same rule apply for Magrib fard salaah and the 2 rak'aat sunnah after?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

(1)  If one is performing the Dhuhr Salaah and the time of Dhuhr elapses, the Dhuhr Salaah will be valid, and one will not have to make Qadha for the Dhuhr Salaah. [1]

However, one will be sinful for delaying the Salaah from its prescribed time.

Allah Taalah states in the Quraan:

إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ كَانَتْ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كِتَابًا مَّوْقُوتًا

Translation: Indeed Salaah has been made obligatory for the believers at fixed hours.

(Surah Al-Nisaa, Verse 103)

(2)  The two rakaats Sunnah will be valid.

The same ruling will apply for the Sunnats after the Maghrib Salaah.[2]
