Title: Are the parents and the grandfather of Muhammad Sallallahu Alyhiwasallam Muslim?

Question

I have heard some scholars say that the mother, father and grandfather of RasoolAllah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) are not Muslims. While some scholars say that they are Muslims. What is your view on this issue? Please explain.

Answer

The question in reference has no bearings on our Aqidah (beliefs) or Amal (practices) and neither will we be questioned about the Iman of the parents of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alyhiwasallam by Allah. Our attitude to such an issue is that Allah Ta‘āla Knows Best.
