Title: Praying qadhaa witr in maghrib behind imam

Question

Assalamoalikum 

Is it ok to pray qadaa witr salah behind a person who is praying maghrib.

Answer

According to the Hanafi thought of school, it is impermissible to perform qadha of witr behind a person who is performing maghrib salah.[i]

الذي يظهر أن جماعة الوتر تبع لجماعة التراويح وإن كان الوتر نفسه أصلا في ذاته، لان سنة الجماعة في الوتر إنما عرفت بالاثر تابعة للتراويح، على أنهم اختلفوا في أفضلية صلاتها بالجماعة بعد التراويح كما يأتي.... (رد المحتار: 2/48،  دار الفكر)
