Title: Is it allowed to keep this username ‘Ibfinite’ for websites a shortened version of name Ibrahim?

I used to have this username for internet websites: 'Ibfinite' which was basically a shortened version of my name Ibrahim to Ib. Later I changed this name because I thought we shouldn't do this to names of Messengers PBUT.

Is it allowed for me to keep this username or is my thought correct and I should look for a new username?

JazakAllah Khairan.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible[i] to keep your username Ibfinite. However, if you have a feeling of disrespect[ii] in keeping such a username, then we advise you to change your username.
