Title: What is the kaffarah for zina?

Question

Salamo alikoom, im 18 yes old I committed zina multiple times in ramadan , I always repent amd ask for forgiveness but I always fall for my desires I'm scared that my heart has been shut and Allah will no longer look at me. Please help me , do I have to do kafata for each one so like 5 days I have to do 300 days , and i don't have money to feed 60 people or 300 and what would I tell my parents please help me brother I feel ashamed and don't know what to do

Answer

Imaan is the strongest support for a believer. It is the barakah of your Imaan that you resent the wrongs you have committed and wish to reform. That is a sign of your Imaan, Allah consciousness of accountability in the court of Allah Taala. Turn to Allah. Make tawbah and never repeat the sin again. Allah is Gafoor (Most Forgiving) and Raheem (Most Merciful)

If one breaks his fast, he will have to make qadha (make up) for every missed fast. He will also have to observe kaffarah(compensation) for each broken fast without a valid excuse in Shariah. If you broke 5 fasts of Ramadhan without a valid excuse in Shariah, you will have to keep 5 qadha fasts. In principle, the kaffarah for 5 fasts is 300 fasts. However, Shariah has granted concession for such a person to make one kaffarah of 60 days consecutively on behalf of all 5 kaffarahs of 300 fasts. In all you will have to keep 65 fasts. Take advantage of this concession of Shariah and keep the fasts.

Thank Allah for giving you the opportunity to offer compensation in this world. You are young. You have strength and energy. Bring up the courage and fulfil the fasts. Avoid any contact with the opposite gender and all other causes that jolts your carnal desires. If possible, consider getting married.

You can consider keeping the qadha fasts in winter when the days are short. Constantly make tawbah and resolve to be steadfast in the future Ramadhans.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
