Title: Christmas concert

Question

Salam eleikum,
I want to ask if there is permissible for a muslim to attent christmas concert in a church?
there will be no priest or other stuff from the chruch, only a group who wil song soft songs associated with cristmas.
Jazakallauhi khairan for the answar.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

According to the Shariah, if one respects anything of kufr, he risks losing his Imaan. The very concept of Christmas is against the basic beliefs of Imaan. A concert is an expression of respect and reverence. It is completely Haram to attend a Christmas concert irrespective of the priest or other staff of the church not being there. If one attends such a function, he could lose his Imaan[1]
