Title: Fallible Khalifah

Question

Can non infallible lead a caliphate. Answer please I already asked this with no response.

Answer

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

Brother in Islaam,

Every person, besides the Prophets (‘Alaihimus salaam)[1], is fallible. This is clearly understood from the following Hadith:

كل بني آدم خطاء، وخير الخطائين التوابون[2]

Translation: “Every human being is a sinner, and the best of sinners are those who repent.” (Ibn Maajah 4251)

Accordingly, since the era of prophethood has ended, there is no person that is infallible.

And Allaah Ta’aala Knows Best.
