Title: Eating meat in a deceased’s house

Question

is is allowed to eat meat during 3 days after death in house ?

Answer

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

It is permissible to consume meat in the house of a deceased person at all times[1]. There is no prohibition of eating meat in the house of the deceased after his death.

 

And Allaah Ta’aala Knows Best.

وقد بينا هذا الفصل إلا أنه ذكره هنا بلفظ يستدل به على أنه كان من مذهبه أن الأصل في الأشياء الإباحة، وأن الحرمة بالنهي عنها شرعا

والأصل في الأشياء الإباحة. قال الله سبحانه وتعالى: {هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ لَكُمْ مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا} [البقرة: 29] وقال سبحانه وتعالى: {قُلْ مَنْ حَرَّمَ زِينَةَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي أَخْرَجَ لِعِبَادِهِ} [الأعراف: 32] .

والحل هو الأصل في الأشياء.

واعلم أن الأصل في الأشياء كلها سوى الفروج الإباحة قال الله تعالى {هو الذي خلق لكم ما في الأرض جميعا} [البقرة: 29] وقال {كلوا مما في الأرض حلالا طيبا} [البقرة: 168] وإنما تثبت الحرمة بعارض نص مطلق أو خبر مروي فما لم يوجد شيء من الدلائل المحرمة فهي على الإباحة
