Question

As salamu alaikum I want to know the meaning and the details of the name Zaid.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.

As-salaamu `alaykum wa-ramatullahi wa-barakatuh.

The name Zaid means prosperous.[1]

It is the name of a Sahabi (Radi allahu anhu) who was the adopted son of Rasulullah ﷺ. [2]

It is also the name of other Sahaba (Radi allahu anhum).

And Allah Ta`ala Knows Best.
