In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

No individual’s life has been recorded and preserved like the Sīrah and life of Rasūlullāh Sallallāhu Alaihi Wa Sallam. Every aspect of life, from his public life to private life, from his physical features to his sublime conduct, from his seriousness to his humor, from his life at home to his various travels and expeditions, from his period of health to sickness, from his childhood to adulthood has all been authentically recorded in voluminous books.

The more one reads the Sīrah of Rasūlullāh Sallallāhu Alaihi Wa Sallam, the heart fills with Nur (divine light) and guidance and increases in the love for Rasūlullāh Sallallāhu Alaihi Wa Sallam. The heart becomes desirous of following and adopting the lifestyle of the greatest man to set foot on the face of Earth.

There are many books of Sīrah available in various languages. Hereunder is a brief list of books available in the Arabic, Urdu, and English languages:


Sīrah Ibn Hishām: Written by Abū Mohammad Abdul Malik bin Hishām Rahimahullāh. It is considered one of the earliest and most comprehensive books on Sīrah.[1]

Al-Raḥīq al-Makhtūm- Written by Safi-ur-Rahman Al-Mubarakpuri Raḥimahullāh



Sīrah al-Mustafā (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam): Written by Hadhrat Moulana Idrīs Kāndehlawī Rahimahullāh
