Praying salaah before its time

I start work early in the morning, before the morning prayer. Once I start work, I dont get time to pray Fajir. Is it ok if I pray before its actually fajir time?

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

Allaah Ta’aala says,

Translation: “Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times”. (An-Nisaa v.103)

Accordingly, it is not permissible to perform the Fajr salaah before its time sets in. If one performs salaah before its time, it will be void and will have to be repeated[1].

Brother in Islaam, Fajr salaah takes a few minutes only. Request your employer for a short break. Remember, sustenance and barakah are in the Hands of Allaah Ta’aala.

And Allaah Ta’aala Knows Best.
