Title: How much time can female spend outside after sun set?

Question

When is the time for Maghrib.

How much time can female spend outside after sun set?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu `alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

The time for Maghrib salat commences immediately after sunset and extends until the whiteness (white twilight) remains in the sky.[i]

It is makruh to delay Maghrib salat until many stars begin to appear in the sky. (Bahishti Zewar; pg. 133; Zam Zam Publishers; Ed 2005)

In principle a woman should remain in the home. If she has a valid Shari’ah   reason to leave her home, she may leave her home while adhering to the laws of hijab. If she undertakes a journey of 48 miles or more she should be accompanied by her mahram, (male with whom marriage is prohibited).[ii]

And Allah knows best.
