Title

I want to know that we perform farz namaaz of FAJAR, MAGHRIB and ISHAAN loudly....and sailently in ZOHAR and ASER...WHY?

Question

I want to know that we perform farz namaaz of FAJAR, MAGHRIB and ISHAAN loudly....and sailently in ZOHAR and ASER...WHY?

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful


Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

 

As Muslims, we are required to express submission to Allah Ta’ala and His commands, for this is true Abdiyyat (servitude). We submit to all the orders of Allah Ta’ala whether we understand them or not.  This is in all issues of Shariah, Salah, Nikah, Zakaat, etc. We do not question why Salaah is five times a day or why should we pay two and a half percent of our wealth in Zakaat.  Hence we simply submit. The very nature of worship is humbleness and humility. That is to go beyond ones logic and present oneself helpless before the order of Allah Ta’ala. We defy our logic and senses in the presence of Allah Ta’ala. Our logic cannot comprehend the wisdom of Allah Ta’ala.This is because we firmly believe that Allah Ta’ala is Al Hakim (All Wise). Hence if one would have this firm believe in all acts of Ibaadat one would reach high stages in the sight of Allah Ta’ala.

                                                                                        

 

والأصل في الجهر والإسرار أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يجهر بالقراءة في الصلوات كلها في الإبتداء وكان المشركون يؤذونه ويقولون لأتباعم إذا سمعتموه يقرأ فارفعوا أصواتكم بالأشعار والأراجيز وقابلوه بكلام اللغو حتى تغلبوه فيسكت ويسبون من أنزل القرآن ومن أنزل عليه فأنزل الله تعالى { ولا تجهر بصلاتك ولا تخافت بها } )الإسراء 71( أي لا تجهر بصلاتك كلها ولا تخافت بها كلها وابتغ بين ذلك سبيلا بأن تجهر بصلاة الليل وتخافت بصلاة النهار فكان بعد ذلك بخافت في صلاة الظهر والعصر لاستعدادهم بالإيذاء فيهما ويجهر في المغرب لإشتغالهم بالأكل وفي العشاء والفجر لرقادهم وفي الجمعة والعيدين لأنه أقامهما بالمدينة وما كان للكفار قوة وقوله وفي العشاء والفجر لرقادهم وجهه في الفجر ظاهر وفي العشاء أن السنة تأخيرها إلى ثلث الليل وهذا إنما يظهر في زمن الشتاء أما في غيره فالعذر فيها كالمغرب فيما يظهر.
