Title

If you have problem in joints can you sit and pray fard namaz because when I stand and pray my joints start aching.

Question

If you have problem in joints can you sit and pray fard namaz because when I stand and pray my joints start aching.

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh

If one experiences extreme difficulty in standing and performing fard salah then it will be permissible to sit and perform the salah.  If the pain is not extreme but it is a normal ache or something bearable, then it is fard to stand and perform fard salah.
