do males have to make iqaamah before performing Fardh salaat individually...do female also have to make Iqaamah...is Iqaamah given for qadhaa fardh salaat as well ?


1a. do males have to make iqaamah before performing Fardh salaat individually (on their own)
1b. Females normally performed Fardh salaah on their own - do they also have to make Iqaamah before every fardh salaat - and must it be done loud or soft.
2. is Iqaamah given for qadhaa fardh salaat as well - if i'm performing qadhaa umri and reading several fardh salaahs one after the other, do i have to make iqaamah for each qadha fardh.

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh

1. It is better for a person to call out the Iqaamah when performing Salaah individually. However if he does not do so and the Azaan and Iqaamah is called out in his locality, his Salaah will still be correct. (Badaai’ vol.2 pg.108)

وَلَوْ صَلَّى الرَّجُلُ فِي بَيْتِهِ وَحْدَهُ ، ذُكِرَ فِي الْأَصْلِ إذَا صَلَّى الرَّجُلُ فِي بَيْتِهِ وَاكْتَفَى بِأَذَانِ النَّاسِ وَإِقَامَتِهِمْ أَجْزَأَهُ ، وَإِنْ أَقَامَ فَهُوَ حَسَنٌ

2. Females will not call out the Iqaamah before Salaah. (Badaai’ vol.2 pg.107)

 وَلَا أَذَانَ وَلَا إقَامَةَ فِي جَمَاعَةِ النِّسْوَانِ وَالصِّبْيَانِ وَالْعَبِيدِ ؛ لِأَنَّ هَذِهِ الْجَمَاعَةَ غَيْرُ مُسْتَحَبَّةٍ .

3. If a person is performing the Qadha of a single Salaah, then he must call out the Azaan and Iqaamah before commencing his Salaah. If he is performing many Qadha Salaahs, then he must call out the Azaan and Iqaamah for the first Salaah. For the subsequent Salaahs he may suffice on Iqaamah for each of them, but it is better to call out the Azaan as well for every Salaah. (Badaai’ vol.2 pg.112-114)

الْأَذَانِ وَالْإِقَامَةِ الْأَدَاءُ وَالْقَضَاءُ ، وَجُمْلَةُ الْكَلَامِ فِيهِ أَنَّهُ لَا يَخْلُو : إمَّا أَنْ كَانَتْ الْفَائِتَةُ مِنْ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسِ

وَأَمَّا إنْ كَانَتْ صَلَاةَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَإِنْ كَانَتْ مِنْ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسِ فَإِنْ فَاتَهُ صَلَاةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ قَضَاهَا بِأَذَانٍ وَإِقَامَةٍ ، وَكَذَا إذَا فَاتَتْ الْجَمَاعَةَ صَلَاةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ قَضَوْهَا بِالْجَمَاعَةِ بِأَذَانٍ وَإِقَامَةٍ

وَأَمَّا إذَا فَاتَتْهُ صَلَوَاتٌ فَإِنْ أَذَّنَ لِكُلِّ وَاحِدَةٍ وَأَقَامَ فَحَسَنٌ ، وَإِنْ أَذَّنَ وَأَقَامَ لِلْأُولَى وَاقْتَصَرَ عَلَى الْإِقَامَةِ لِلْبَوَاقِي فَهُوَ جَائِزٌ .
