Title

Is there anything wrong in doing Khatm-e-Qur’an (Qur’an-Khani) with a group of Muslims?

Question

This is generally done on the 3rd and 40th day of someone?s death and is also repeated every year on their death anniversary (?Barsi?). This is also done when someone moves into a new house or someone?s vow is fulfilled.
